§ Mr. REMERasked the First Commissioner of Works whether his Office is experimenting with a model of the House of Commons with a view to improving the hygiene of the House; and, if this is so, will he take steps to stop this expenditure?
§ Sir A. MONDThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The experiments are being conducted in conjunction with the officials of the National Physical Laboratory in fulfilment of a promise which I made in this House. They will have a general scientific value, and the small expenditure of £200 involved is fully justified.
