Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe salary of the First Secretary to the Ministry of Health has been increased from £2,000, plus £750 bonus, to £.3,000, plus £500 bonus, and 991W that of the Second Secretary from £1,700, plus £750 bonus, to £2,200, plus £500 bonus, in pursuance of the recommendations of a Committee appointed by the Government to advise them as to the emoluments which should attach to the principle permanent posts in the Civil Service. My right hon. Friend the Member for Paisley (Mr. Asquith) was good enough to act as Chairman of the Committee.
