LLOYD-GREAMEThe quantity of forge and foundry pig iron imported into this country, consigned from Belgium and France, in 1921, was as follows: January, 13,469 tons; February, 26,478 tons; March, 35,209 tons. The number of furnaces in blast in the United Kingdom at the end of January, 1921, was 242; at the end of February, 193; and at the end of March, 109. By the 12th April this number was reduced to 30.
