Mr. ALFRED DAVIESasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture if his attention has been drawn to the composition of the Kent county council's list of members to form the Kent agricultural committee; whether he is aware that of the 29 chosen by the council no representative of labour has been included; and whether, in the appointment of the remaining 14 by the Ministry, he will consider the possibility of restoring the balance by appointing representatives of the agricultural labourers?
Sir A. BOSCAWENThe composition of the agricultural committee for the county of Kent has already been completed. The members appointed by the county council include one representative of the Workers' Union. Among the 14 members appointed by the Minister, there is also one farm labourer, who is a representative of the National Union of Agricultural Workers.
