Mr. T. WILSONasked the Minister of Pensions whether he has received Resolutions from associations of ex-service men in favour of all alternative pension claims being filed at local pension offices instead of, as at present, at the enquiry office; and, if so, will he comply with the request?
§ Major TRYONI have not received Resolutions from associations of ex-service men in the terms mentioned, and I would point out to my hon. Friend that all claims to alternative pension are already made through the Local War Pensions Committee by whom the case is referred to the Ministry Headquarters of the region concerned for investigation by official inquiry officers. The decision arrived at by the Ministry is duly notified to the applicant and to the Local War Pensions Committee, and all the relative papers are then filed at the regional headquarters.
