§ Lord H. CAVENDISH-BENTINCKasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the War Office how many men of the Regular Army are employed at the Royal Army Ordnance depot at Chilwell; and whether he has received a protest from the Nottingham employment committee against the employment of these men while there are 2,000 ex-service men in the Nottingham area unable to obtain employment?
§ Sir A. WILLIAMSONThere are 62 men of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps employed at the Ordnance depot, Chilwell. These men form part of the military establishment of the depot. A copy of a resolution from the Nottingham employment committee has been received, but I regret that it is impracticable to take the action suggested.
