HC Deb 30 November 1920 vol 135 c1156W
Mr. REMER

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether the 1,168 standards of flooring boards sold at £31 per standard and less were sold to any of the following firms; Montague L. Meyer, Limited, of London; Snowdon and Saddler, of Newcastle; Lewis and Lloyd, of Cardiff; and Messrs. Smith, of Birmingham; whether he is aware of the repeated statements which have been made that Mr. Meyer was interested in all these concerns in January, 1919; and whether, under these circumstances, he will agree to a full and impartial inquiry into this matter?

Sir P. LLOYD-GREAME

As regards the first and third parts of the question I would refer the hon. Member to the replies which I gave him on the 10th and 24th November. As regards the second part of the question, Mr. Meyer has informed the Board of Trade that he was not interested in any of the firms referred to in the question in January, 1920.
