asked the Prime Minister whether it is intended to draw up and preserve a roll of honour containing the names of all persons who lost their lives in the War in the three services, in the Mercantile Marine, and in munition works?

The PRIME MINISTER

No, Sir. Such a roll of honour could only be approximately correct, and it would be impossible to find sufficient justification for the enormous additional expense involved.
