HC Deb 25 November 1920 vol 135 c680W
Sir GODFREY COLLINS

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Munitions if he can state the estimated amount of war commitments still unpaid by the Ministry of Munitions?

Mr. HOPE

It is estimated that the sum still due to contractors for War production is approximately £3,000,000, and it is hoped that the whole amount will be discharged during the current financial year. There are, in addition, certain claims arising out of the War, the total payable in respect of which it is at present impossible to estimate, as their settlement depends upon contingencies or the result of legal proceedings.
