HC Deb 25 November 1920 vol 135 cc665-6W
Rear-Admiral Sir REGINALD HALL

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty the number of pre-War naval pensioners who are over 60 years of age and whose pensions are less than £l a week?

Sir J. CRAIG

Approximately 5,200 pre-War naval pensioners are over 60 years of age and in receipt of pensions of less than £l a week. This number includes 950 men who are ineligible for a percentage increase on the ground of being in receipt of incomes in excess of the maxima laid down in the Pensions Increase Act, and 1,150 who have failed to claim this increase presumably for the same reason.
