HC Deb 24 November 1920 vol 135 cc477-8W
Sir J. D. REES

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has arrived at any conclusion regarding the new duties on export from Nyassaland on cotton and tobacco; and whether it is clearly understood that such duties are of an experimental, tentative, and temporary character?

Lieut.-Colonel AMERY

The Governor's attention has been drawn to the fact that it may be necessary to review the position as regards the new export duties in the event of a material fall in prices here. Meanwhile the duties remain in operation.
