HC Deb 23 November 1920 vol 135 c254W
Mr. HAYDAY

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware of the vast quantity of timber imported from Russia before the War; whether the building of houses is hampered by a scarcity of timber; and, if so, whether he is taking any steps to secure consideration of the necessity for removing the embargo upon the import of Russian timber?

Dr. ADDISON

I have no evidence that housing is being held up on account of shortage of timber.
