asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the amount of the Treasury valuation of the 874,914 musical instruments and of the 1,177,003 clocks imported from Germany during the nine months ended 30th September, 1920, and the amount of the Customs duty which he has received in respect of the same, respectively?


The consignments from Germany into the United Kingdom during the nine months ended 30th September were:

Musical instruments, complete, 174,936.
Value, £316,799.
Clocks, complete 1,288,964.
Value, £412,455.
