HC Deb 22 November 1920 vol 135 cc75-6W
Mr. MATTHEWS

asked the President of the Board of Education whether he has considered the desirability of issuing a circular to local education authorities pointing out the necessity of their exercising the greatest vigilance in protecting the children of the country from the pernicious influence of teachers holding revolutionary views; and whether his attention has been directed to a violently extreme speech delivered by an elementary school teacher at Swansea on Sunday, 24th October, 1920, a press copy of which has been sent to the right hon. Gentleman?

Mr. H. LEWIS

I have only this morning received the press cutting referred to, and I will make inquiries.
