HC Deb 22 November 1920 vol 135 cc79-80W
Colonel GRETTON

asked the Home Secretary if the Defence of the Realm (Liquor Control) Regulations, 1915, and Statutory Rules and Orders, 1915, Nos. 522 and 997, are not to be procured on sale or in the Vote Office; and if he will lay the Regulations and the Orders of the Central Control Board (Liquor Traffic) upon the Table of the House and give instructions that copies may be on sale to the public?

Mr. SHORTT

I have arranged with the Stationery Office to supply a stock of these Orders to the Vote Office for the use of Members, and I hope they will be obtainable to-day or to-morrow. I understand that copies are on sale, and steps will be taken to see that the general public have no difficulty in procuring them.

Colonel GRETTON

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Munitions if since the resignation of the Chairman Lord D'Abernon no chairman has been appointed to the Central Control Board (Liquor Traffic), and that the Board has not been constituted in accordance with Regulation No. 1; and whether all the acts of the Board have been and are ultra vires?

Mr. HOPE

I fear that I can add nothing to the answer which I gave to my hon. and gallant Friend on the 23rd of June last.
