§ Mr. STANTONasked the Prime Minister if he is aware of the hardship imposed upon many Members of Parliament by the high cost of living and train fares; whether he is aware that many Members are not wealthy; and if he will consider the sum of £400 a year, less Income Tax, which is paid to Members when Ministers' salaries are being considered?
