§ Mr. SHORTTA motor lorry laden with large pieces of broken road concrete, which was proceeding south through Whitehall, was held up by a mob and stones were taken from this lorry and thrown at the police. No particulars with regard to the lorry were noted by the police, and I cannot say where it came from.
