Major D. DAVIESasked the Prime Minister whether the Commission which is being sent to Russia by the League of Nations will visit the Ukraine in order that they may investigate the claim of the Ukraine for independence?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWI understand that the Council of the League of Nations has been approached by the Ukrainian delegation which is at present in this country. Presumably, when the Commission which the Council of the League of Nations propose to send to Russia arrives in that country, they will receive in the course of their investigations information bearing on the situation in the Ukraine. They will then be in a position to judge whether they can usefully conduct a personal investigation.
