Sir L. HARMSWORTHasked the Secretary for Scotland whether he is aware that his statement that seed corn is to be procured at prices considerably below £5 per quarter is being generally disputed; whether he will take steps to cause a more adequate appreciation of the facts of the matter being brought to his notice; and, if he finds reason to revise his statement, will he consider whether he can influence steps by which crofters can secure seed corn at something like the price he mentions as possible?
§ Mr. MUNROI have caused further inquiry to be made, and understand that there is no reason to doubt the accuracy of the information given in my reply of the 2nd March.
