§ Mr. FORRESTasked the Minister of Labour if ho will state in detail the number of ex-service men whose training has been sanctioned by the various unions represented at the Trades Union Congress of 1919, and at the same time indicate how many of the ex-service men have actually commenced their training?
§ Mr. PARKERNo trade union has specified or has been asked to specify the number of men who may be trained in their trade for the country as a whole. As was indicated in my right hon. Friend's answer of the 17th March, the question of how many men should be trained in a particular trade in each locality is regulated with regard to the absorptive capacity of that trade in the locality served by the particular training centre.
