§ Dr. ADDISONLocal authorities are empowered by the Housing (Additional Powers) Act of last Session to prohibit within their areas the construction of buildings which are for the time being of less public importance than the provision of dwelling accommodation, and I am urging local authorities to make the fullest use of their power wherever it is necessary to do so.
