§ Mr. W. THORNEasked the Minister of Food if he is aware that thousands of eggs which have been in cold storage at Newport, Monmouthshire, have been destroyed; that many of them were good for cooking purposes and that many cases in the consignment were sold to local shopkeepers; can he give any reason why the eggs were not sold to the general public instead of being destroyed; and what he intends doing in the matter?
§ Mr. McCURDYI am making inquiries into this matter and will inform the hon. Member of the result.
