Mr. A. T. DAVIESasked the Minister of Health if he can state the new functions of the Office of Works in connection with housing schemes; and whether the Office of Works may be permitted to make any profit on its participation in these schemes?
§ Dr. ADDISONI am arranging for the Office of Works to assist local authorities by acting on their behalf in special cases where is seems to be desirable in order to ensure that a scheme will be carried out in a reasonable time. It is not proposed that the Office of Works shall make any profit.
