HC Deb 08 July 1920 vol 131 c1688W

Mr. FOREMAN asked the Minister of Food the directions in which he is making provision for the accumulation of wheat supplies, in view of the expected shortage in the coming winter?

Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSON: No, Sir. It would clearly be imprudent for the Royal Commission on Wheat Supplies, as a buying organisation, to make public its purchasing programme, but I can assure the hon. Member that all necessary steps are being taken to safeguard the bread supply.
