HC Deb 07 July 1920 vol 131 c1480W
Mr. BOTTOMLEY

asked the Postmaster-General whether any loss accrues to the British Post Office in connection with the delivery of letters from France and Germany, having regard to the present depreciation in the sterling value of the franc and the mark?

Mr. ILLINGWORTH

The answer is in the negative. Under the Postal Union Convention, each Administration retains the postage which it collects on outgoing letters and delivers incoming letters without charge.
