Mr. ALFRED DAVIES(Clitheroe) asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether consideration has been given to the cases of special hardship suffered by men from Mesopotamia whose demobilisation was postponed in some cases by detention in India: and whether it is proposed to make any monetary allowance as compensation in these cases?
§ Sir A. WILLIAMSONThese men have been given the Army of Occupation bonus like other men whose demobilisation has been postponed. It is not proposed to grant any further special compensation.
