§ Mr. McCURDYI cannot at present indicate the date when it will be possible to effect an increase in the domestic sugar ration. Nor can I hold out any542W prospect of increased supplies of imported butter at a reasonable price. It will be necessary to continue some measure of control in respect of both sugar and butter so long as there is a world shortage of these commodities.
