§ Mr. RAMSDENasked the President of the Board of Education when he intends to put into force Section 1, sub-section (8) of the Education Act, 1918, which raises the school exemption age to 14 years of age?
§ Mr. FISHERI would refer the hon. Member to Section 52 of the Act, from which he will see that the appointed day for Section 8 (1) cannot be earlier than the date of the termination of the War, as fixed by Order in Council under the Termination of the Present War Definition Act, 1918. I hope to fix the appointed day for Section 8 (1) as soon as possible after that date.
