HC Deb 28 April 1920 vol 128 c1246W
Captain REDMOND

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the War Office whether he is aware that the civilian employés in the Ordnance Depot, Island Bridge, are all ex-service men who have served in various countries and have in many cases over twenty years' service with the Department; that an attempt by the C.O.O. Dublin to do away with these employés is now under consideration, asking for a guarantee to retain the military for a lengthened period, which practice has never been a success in the Department; and will he take steps to see that the custom of employment for ex-service men in Ireland be carried out as before the War?

Sir A. WILLIAMSON

I have called for a report, and will communicate with the hon. and gallant Member as soon as possible.
