HC Deb 25 November 1919 vol 121 c1644W
Sir KINGSLEY WOOD

asked the Food Controller whether he has received protests by many public authorities against the prices fixed to producers for milk during the winter months under the Milk (Winter Prices) Order, 1919; whether these prices are unduly high; and whether he can state the reasons for the decision?

Mr. McCURDY

It is the case that a number of protests have been received. The Food Controller cannot, however, agree that the maximum prices, which were decided upon after the most careful consideration of all aspects of the problem, are excessive.
