Sir F. HALLasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury it' it is proposed to issue for the information of the House a statement giving in reasonable detail the nature and extent of the economies that have been arranged for in the several Government Departments; and, if so, whether, in order that it may be possible to strike an approximately reliable balance as to the savings effected, the Treasury will include in the same Return particulars of fresh expenditure, if any, contemplated in the different Departments, such as the scheme for the building and reconstruction of employment exchanges in London and certain provincial cities?
§ Mr. BALDWINI do not think that I can usefully add at the present time anything to the statement of my right hon. Friend on the 29th ultimo.
