§ Mr. CHURCHILLI would refer the hon. Member to the replies given to questions on this subject asked by the hon. and gallant Member for Central Aberdeen on the 22nd October and the hon. and gallant Member for Newcastle-under-Lyme on the 30th October. There are, in addition to the numbers mentioned in the replies referred to, about 4,000 troops, comprising a mixed brigade at present garrisoning Batoum on the Black Sea. These will shortly be withdrawn.
