Captain GUESTI would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to a question put by the right hon. Member for South Molton on the 15th April, to the effect that General Officers Commanding-in-Chief in the various Commands have been instructed to communicate with lords lieutenant, lord mayors, and other authorities with a view to ascertaining their wishes as regards the holding of triumphal processions in the big towns later on in the year, and seeing how the proposed arrangements can be co-ordinated. The General Officers Commanding will report the proposals to the War Office, indicating in what way the War Office can best co-operate.
