Mr. T. THOMSONasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will exercise any powers he possesses to induce the Middlesbrough and Stockton Tramways Company to resume a Sunday service of cars at such times as will enable workmen to get to their work instead of having to walk four or five miles there and back as at present; and can he arrange for a coal ration to be supplied similar to that in neighbouring towns where Sunday train services are maintained?
§ Mr. BRIDGEMANThe Board of Trade are in communication with the tramways company and have suggested to them that a Sunday service of cars might now be resumed. I understand that there is no difficulty as to the supply of coal to the tramway company.
