HC Deb 14 March 1919 vol 113 cc1614-5W
Sir KINGSLEY WOOD

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether provision will be made in the next Finance Bill for the appointment of assessors and collectors of taxes to continue at the will and pleasure of the appointing authorities in place of the annual appointment now required by the Income Tax Acts?

Mr. BALDWIN

The machinery of collection will doubtless form one of the subjects into which the forthcoming Royal Commission on the Income Tax will inquire.
