Mr. ROBERTSThe question raised by the hon. and gallant Member has already been dealt with in previous answers. I am not aware that shops dependent solely upon the sale of confectionery have to turn away their customers for want of stock. I may say, however, that the manufacturers, at the request of the Royal Commission on the Sugar Supply, are prepared, as long as is necessary, so to arrange the distribution of their output as to safeguard the smaller retailers from any temporary hardship which may arise.
