§ Colonel YATEasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether any settlement has yet been arrived at on the question of the remuneration to collectors of Income Tax for the year 1918–19; and what increase is to be granted?
§ Mr. BALDWINI presume my hon. and gallant Friend refers to the increased remuneration to be paid to collectors of taxes for the year 1919–20, in consequence of the collection of Income Tax, Schedule A, in two instalments. The work of revising the remuneration of collectors to meet the new conditions has been in progress for some time, and the results will be communicated to the individual collectors as soon as possible.
