§ Mr. FISHERI am not quite sure what the suggestion contained in this question is. If it is proposed that the pensions of teachers who retired on pensions under the Elementary School Teachers (Superannuation) Acts, 1898 to 1912, before the School Teachers (Superannuation) Act, 1918, became operative, should be increased up to the scale contemplated by the latter Act that proposal was considered and rejected by the House of Commons during the Debates preceding the passing of the latter Act last autumn. I do not, therefore, propose to introduce any fresh legislation on the subject in the immediate future.
