Captain TERRELLasked the Minister of Health if he is aware that many boards of guardians consider that the Old Age Pensions Act requires substantial amendment, in view of the changed conditions consequent on the War, and that such amendment should not provide for the supplementing of pensions by the granting of outdoor relief, but should provide an increased rate of pension and a reduction of the qualifying age, together with the revision of existing disqualifications based on income; and whether he proposes to take action on these lines?
