§ Mr. FOREMANasked the President of the Board of Education whether representations have been made to him regarding the inadequacy, in view of the rise in prices, of the pensions of retired elementary teachers: and whether he is in a position to make recommendations to the Treasury on the subject?
§ Mr. FISHERI do not think that the position of retired teachers can be considered separately from the position of other retired public servants or pensioners, and I am not in a position to make any statement on the question of augmenting their pensions.
