§ Mr. SHORTTThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative; and to the second part in the negative. In accordance with the recommendation in the Interim Report, the arrangements for carrying out the reduction in the hours of surface workers are being made the subject of local negotiations in the several districts.
