Sir F. HALLasked the Home Secretary whether lie is aware that a large number of police officers, retained in the service during the War under the Police (Emergency Provisions) Act, 1915, have now been instructed to retire; and whether, in view of the fact that the new scale of pay is to date back to 1st April last, the pensions of policemen who have retired since that date will be calculated on the new scale?
