Sir F. HALLasked the Secretary to the Treasury if he is aware that the allowance made to non-commissioned officers and men who have received the Distinguished Conduct Medal for gallantry in the field is assessed for Income Tax; will he state whether the same practice obtains as regards the Victoria Cross allowance; and, if so, whether he will consider as to making representations to the Treasury with a view to an alteration of the Regulations in this respect?
