GRIFFITH-BOSCAWENLocal authorities have already been informed that possession of the land taken for allotments under the Defence of the Realm Act Regulations should be retained unless they are satisfied that the land is required for building or other public purpose, or that the liability for compensation would be excessive. A further circular is being issued to local authorities on the subject. The Board have no control over land that has been acquired for allotments by agreement.
