HC Deb 04 December 1919 vol 122 c625W
Sir BERTRAM FALLE

asked the Secretary to the Admiralty what gratuity or pension is given to petty officers promoted warrant officers after eight years' service and automatically promoted to second-lieutenants, Royal Air Force, on amalgamation of the Royal Naval Air Service and Royal Air Force; and if such officers, demobilised at their own request and in receipt of the permanent officers gratuity, receive the difference between that gratuity and the gratuity given a temporary officer?

Mr. CHURCHILL

The whole question of the gratuities or pensions to be paid to Royal Air Force officers (temporary and permanent) who when commissioned in the Air Force were serving as warrant officers, Royal Navy, or Royal Naval Air Service, has been under consideration for some time, and it is anticipated that a final decision will be announced shortly.
