HC Deb 04 December 1919 vol 122 cc630-1W
Mr. A. DAVIES (Clitheroe)

asked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that passports are no longer required for travelling between England and Paris; and whether he can now state that the passport regulations governing visitors to the Channel Islands are to be abolished?

Mr. SHORTT

It is not the fact that passports are no longer required for travelling between England and Paris. As regards the passport regulations applicable to visitors to the Channel Islands, I am in communication with the Island authorities, and I hope that when the Aliens Bill becomes law it will be possible to arrive at a satisfactory settlement of this question.
