HC Deb 04 December 1919 vol 122 cc597-8W
Colonel LAMBERT WARD

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether it has been brought to his notice that an English girl, a Miss Hopkins, has escaped from Bolshevist Russia and, with one or two companions, has arrived at Odessa; whether he can give any information on the subject; and whether assistance will be given to enable her to return to England?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

No information as to the escape of Miss Hopkins to Odessa has been received in this Department. If she has reached Odessa she can be repatriated to this country by His Majesty's Consulate-General there on the usual conditions. A telegram of inquiry is being addressed to His Majesty's Consulate-General at Odessa.
