§ Mr. CHADWICKasked the Prime, Minister whether he will, in view of the possibility of unemployment during the coming winter, again appeal to the municipal authorities throughout the country to push forward such public work as may be essential in the near future even if they have somewhat to anticipate their schemes?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWI do not think that it is necessary to make any further appeal to the municipal authorities. The Government are confident that local authorities realise the necessity of doing everything in their power to minimise the possibility of unemployment, especially in connection with the various local housing schemes.
