Mr. HARMSWORTHThe abandonment of the plebiscite in the third zone in2166W Sleswig was decided by the Council of Five on 14th June, in view of the objections of the Danish Government, communicated to the Peace Conference by the Danish Minister in Paris by his letter to Monsieur Clemenceau of 17th May. The abandonment of the question of German evacuation naturally followed on the abandonment of the plebiscite.
