§ Mr. C. BARRIEasked the Secretary for Scotland whether his attention has been drawn to the cost of printing and providing registers of voters under the Representation of the People Act, 1919; whether he is aware that in a small burgh like Cullen, in Banffshire, the cost of the two registers is equal to a rate of 4d. in the £1 for local taxation; and whether it is the intenton of the Government to consider an amendment to the Act so as to reduce the cost?
§ Mr. MUNROI would refer my hon. Friend to my reply of the 1st ultimo to the hon. Member for Montrose and of the 30th ultimo to the hon. Member for Caithness and Sutherland. The matter is being reconsidered.
